THE MISSION STATEMENT

Movies have the potential to be the least exclusive of all art forms. They have the potential to allow us to LIVE something we haven't, BE something we're not, and EXPERIENCE something we may never. For a couple of hours, we put our faith in a film and a filmmaker, in a dark room, with countless strangers, to be taken away to a time or a season, a place or a mindset, a day or a decade. We are gently deceived. And we LOVE it.

But soaring budgets have lead to higher stakes. Higher stakes have lead to greater cowardice. And greater cowardice ALWAYS leads to lesser art.

So here we are, in a time where audiences are regarded as DUMB.

Audiences aren't dumb. They're terribly BORED. They've been taught that movies are for disposable weekend fun, not for serious consideration. Or rather, that one is mutually exclusive of the other. But it's not so! The best movies are entertaining AND substantial.

At LBH Productions, we seek to reclaim the time when cinema was ART. And art was FUN. It may sound like a lofty pursuit, but it's not.

We believe in movies... we believe in their power...
and with any luck, we are not alone.
